Jon Jones seems unbeatable in the light heavyweight division, and MMA bettors are backing him even though he’s a huge -450 favorite against challenger Lyota Machida.
Those are not the best UFC odds you’ll find at UFC 140 but it might be the safest bet at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on December 10. The card features six Canadians and the legendary Nogueira brothers from Brazil.
Jones is 14-1 and his one loss wasn’t really a loss (DQ). He is the ultimate finisher, ending 12 of his 14 wins. The Dragon, on the other hand, has lost two of three since claiming the light heavyweight belt at UFC 98 in 2009.
He’s a huge +360 underdog against Jones, whose length and freakish athletic ability have been unmatchable in his young career.

There are more terrific fights on the card. The battling Brazilian twins Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Antonio Rogerio Nogueria, are on the pay-per-view component. Tito Ortiz takes on Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in a light heavyweight scrap while Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira battles former heavyweight champ Frank Mir as a +210 underdog.
With the card in Toronto, there is Canadian content galore as six fighters dot the card. 14-1 Claude Patrick takes on Australian vet Brian Ebersole (who is a -140 favorite). Both men are on long win streaks, Patrick with 12 in a row and Ebersole with nine straight, so something has to give.
Mark Hominick, who last we saw was losing a one-sided decision to Jose Aldo in a featherweight title fight, is also on the card. He’s a mammoth favorite at 5Dimes Sportsbook vs. Chan Sung Jung.
The remaining fights have been announced but no odds were posted as of Tuesday.
