UFC on Fox 3 Betting Preview

UFC on Fox 3 is set to go down on May 5, and Lightweights will headline the show. In the main event Jim Miller will battle Nate Diaz with a potential title shot on the line, while the co-main event features rising star Johny Hendricks taking on Josh Koscheck.

Diaz has looked much improved since he moved back down to Lightweight last September. Impressive wins over Takanori Gomi and Donald Cerrone have displayed his vastly improved boxing skills and have put him in a position to contend for a title.

Despite his improvements oddsmakers at Bovada are offering as much as +175 on Diaz to beat Miller. That line is more than tempting and could be the best upset pick on the UFC on Fox 3 fight card. Diaz can get it done in the stand-up game and his jiu-jitsu skills are some of the best in the division.

Miller was a wrecking machine in the Lightweight division until he ran into current champ Ben Henderson. An impressive win over Melvin Guillard got him back on track, and now a win over Diaz will put him back into title contention. Oddsmakers at Bovada are currently offering a price of -225 on Miller to win, but that seems a bit pricey considering his opponent.

In the co-main event Hendricks is a slight favorite over top-contender Koscheck. Hendricks put himself on the UFC Welterweight contender map with an impressive KO win over former Top-10 pound-for-pound best John Fitch. Now he gets another wrestler to battle in Koscheck, and oddsmakers have the fight handicapped near even.

Hendricks currently costs -120 at Bovada while the price on Koscheck currently sits at -110. One has to like Koscheck’s experience in this one for the slight upset victory.

Also on the UFC on Fox 3 fight card will be a Middleweight battle between Alan Belcher and Rousimar Palhares. Belcher is currently a heavy Bovada underdog at +250, while Palhares and his world-class jiu-jitsu skills are favored at -300.
